The Director will be the legal representative and public face of the Office. She/he shall be independent in the performance of her/his duties and shall be accountable for her/his activities to the Management Board, which will consist of 26 voting members appointed by the Member States bound by the Regulation, 2 voting members appointed by the Commission, with Denmark and the Office of the
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) attending as non-voting members.
The refugee and migrant’s rights team provides authoritative legal and policy advice and support to the International Secretariat and broader Amnesty International (AI) movement so as to ensure the effective application of AI policy and global strategies in its work to protect and promote the human rights of refugees, asylum-seekers, migrants, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and stateless persons, in accordance with AI’s mission and core values.

The International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) is an international non-governmental organisation serving and protecting uprooted people–refugees, internally displaced persons and migrants–regardless of faith, race, ethnicity or nationality. ICMC advocates for rights-based policies and durable solutions directly and through a worldwide network of member bishops conferences, and alongside government and non-governmental partners.
The project offers technical assistance to ACP States and Regional Organisations to help them better understand and manage their migration flows, as well as integrate migration issues into national and regional policy, including for economic, social and cultural development, the overall aim being to capitalise on the positive effects of migration for the development of the ACP region.
The UNDP Regional Centres Dakar and Johannesburg are establishing a Regional Roster of human rights and justice experts to facilitate quick support services for the designing and implementation of human rights and justice projects by UNDP Country Offices/UNCTs in the region.
