Work description
The IOM Institutional Strategy on Migration and Sustainable Development outlines a whole-of- organization approach to comprehensively integrate migration and development into policymaking and programming within IOM. It recognizes that migration, when well-managed, can be both a development strategy and a development outcome.
To deliver on this Strategy, IOM will need to deepen partnerships with a broad range of actors such as governments, bilateral cooperation agencies, EU institutions, private sector entities, foundations, think tanks, and IFIs to harness the benefits of migration for sustainable development. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its recognition of the central role of migration has created the impetus to frame these partnerships as part of its implementation.
IOM is seeking a consultant to develop a forward-looking Partnership Development Plan to support the operationalization of IOM’s work in this area, as captured in IOM’s Strategy on Migration and Sustainable Development (M&SD). The consultant will explore new partnership opportunities and outline an innovative and strategic approach for leveraging existing and new partnerships.
