On that day, in 1990, the Assembly adopted the International Convention on the Protection ofthe Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families (resolution45/158).

The Networking and Participation of Lo cal Authorities Team of the JMDI has launched a peer review involving Local Authorities in and outside the EU. The overall goal of the peer review is to involve LAs in the formulation of policy recommendations aimed to enhance the capacity of local actors to effectively connect migration with development trends.
