JRC Annual Conference on Human Capital for Territorial Growth
Rue Ravenstein 23, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgium
The objective of the Conference is to discuss with scientists and policy makers how Member States, regions and cities can harness the potential of their human capital under the current socio-economic and environmental challenges to make their territories more dynamic, creative and resilient to external shocks. The conference will identify challenges and opportunities for human capital development, including migration and demographic change and propose recommendations for scientific evidence and policy action.
Ms Riallant will be speaking at Panel III, “People and institution centred territorial innovation systems”. The panel will explore how people and institutions can strengthen innovation in Europe’s cities and regions. Among other things, her contribution will focus on the role of local and regional authorities in addressing societal changes caused by migration and on the contribution of migrants and #refugees to territorial innovation.
