Webinar: 'Intercultural Regions: Improving Access to Services'
IOM's Includ-EU project invites you to their upcoming webinar Monday 29 June 2020 on "Intercultural Regions: Improving Access to Services" for migrants and refugees.
Migration has dominated national and EU-level debates in recent years. But it is at the local level that migration challenges come to the fore. Regional and local authorities across Europe are faced with increasing diversity and urged to find prompt ways to address always new integration needs, often with limited resources and a hostile public sentiment towards migrants. It is essential to bring together regional and local authorities with different levels of expertise and offer them various instances for structured and meaningful mutual learning and exchanges, on integration policy and practice.
- Oriol Amorós, Chair of the Intercultural Regions Network, Secretary of Equality, Migration and Citizenship for the Government of Catalonia.
- Dominik Zenner, Senior Migration Health Advisor, IOM Regional Office for the European Economic Area, the European Union and NATO
- Irena Guidikova, Head of Division, Inclusion and Anti-Discrimination Programmes, Council of Europe
- Nuria Diez Guardia, Policy Officer, European Commission Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs, Unit C2 - Legal Pathways and Integration.
This webinar is organised in the context of Includ-EU. This project contributes to building more inclusive and cohesive European societies by facilitating mutual learning between local and regional authorities.
