The Journal Migration, Mobility & Displacement is calling for papers for its special issue on ‘forgotten corridors’. The journal is looking for papers that focus on migrant journeys and on the corridors of mobility that are forged as they cross social, cultural, political, and geographical borders. World leaders have come together on September 19th, 2016 to adopt the New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants, expressing their political will to safeguard rights of refugees and migrants and share responsibility for large-scale refugee movements. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon acknowledges this event as a “breakthrough in our collective efforts to address the challenges of human mobility.”

Among other things, he congratulates member states on declaring their intention to incorporate refugees and migrants in national development planning.
