The repository collected over more than six years represents a joint effort of the M4D Net Facilitation Team and the M4D Net members to make available to the wider community the latest findings in the field of migration and development with a view to filling potential knowledge gaps and move the migration and development agenda forward through evidence-based research.

This presentation enumerates and explains the various policies, laws, regulations, etc. in the Philippines on migration that can be used as reference or legal bases in mainstreaming migration and development at the local level. This presentation details the experience of Naga City in mainstreaming migration in local development starting in 2010 when the MAPID project encouraged local government units to incorporate migration issues in their Comprehensive Development Plan. From 2011-2012, IOM assisted Naga City in piloting the mainstreaming process. At the end of 2012, Naga City already organized its City Advisory Council on Overseas Filipinos and integrated migration in its CDP for 2011-2020.
