Luz: setting up a restaurant in Ecuador after fleeing conflict in Colombia

“Ecuador is part of my life. It is the country that welcomed me when I needed it. It is a place where we can all live in peace”, says an emotional Luz.

Luz is 56 and one of the thousands of people that have arrived in Ecuador fleeing violence in Colombia. She grew up in the Cauca Valley, an area of Colombia shaken by violence caused by guerrillas and paramilitary groups.
