2016 Global Report on Internal Displacement

The Norwegian Refugee Council's Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) has released a new report on internal displacement. According to this report, in 2015 almost 28 million people were forced to flee from conflict, natural disasters or violence within their countries. Syria, Yemen and Iraq accounted for more than half the new conflict displacements, while Ukraine, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Afghanistan, Colombia, Central African Republic and South Sudan had the highest numbers of new IDPs.

Myth Busting: Deconstructing 10 Myths about Migration and Development

With the increase of migrants and refugees reaching Europe in 2015, a rising number of myths and prejudices around the topic of migration and asylum has been circling around Europe. As a response, the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) Europe and the Forum des Organisations de Solidarite Internationale issues des Migrations (FORIM), in collaboration with CONCORD, have developed an awareness-raising tool to debunk common and persistent myths regarding migration.
