Brief description of the initiative

Lessons from the local level – DACA’s Implementation and Impact on Education and Training Success

Immigration is arguably more intertwined with the education and training field today than at any other time in recent U.S. history. The barriers to legal status and postsecondary education that unauthorized immigrant youth face have earned a special place in national and state policy debates as result of the advocacy of youth who have come to be known as DREAMers.

The challenges of migration have prompted many local governments and enterprises to become more active in its governance and management. The development of more informed and rational strategies demands easy-to-access research-based evidence on migration issues.
