Work description
Join our team! The IOM Migration and Sustainable Development Unit is advertising for a Consultant – Multi-Agency Funding Instruments Analysis. Are you deeply knowledgeable about migration and sustainable development policy and programming, as well as the UN system and interagency programming? Check out the vacancy notice here.
The Consultant would play a crucial role in the IOM effort to move towards a more integrated approach of working in the UN system through joint funding and programming. Inter-agency pooled funding through UN Multi-partner Trust Funds (MPTF) and similar donor-led initiatives are central elements of the UN-wide effort to bring UN entities together, strengthen coherence, and reduce fragmentation.
The Consultant would conduct a mapping of IOM’s participation in UN MPTF and their relevance to migration and sustainable development issues, undertake desk research on the factors impacting IOM’s participation and success in accessing funding, and conduct interviews and present findings in a report.
We particularly encourage applications from women and people from under-represented nationalities! Applications are due on January 4th and for more information, see the IOM recruitment site here: https://www.iom.int/recruitment
