Elizabeth (Lizzy) Linklater
Elizabeth Linklater supports the Mainstreaming Migration into International Cooperation and Development Initiative (MMICD) as Junior Project Assistant at the IOM Regional Office in Brussels. Alongside her work supporting the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the MMICD project, she also heads the project's knowledge management and the finalisation of the MMICD toolkits. Elizabeth also covers the migration, environment and climate change thematic area for the EU, EEA and NATO, supporting IOM's Regional Thematic Specialist based in RO Vienna. Within this remit, she oversees analysis, advocacy and engagement related to the European Green Deal, as well as coordination with HQ and COs.
Elizabeth first joined IOM in 2020 to support the development of, and engagement with, the Migration, Environment and Climate Change thematic area for the EU and EEA region. Elizabeth holds a MA in French and Italian from the University of Glasgow, and an MSc from the Governance of Migration and Diversity Masters specialising in Public Administration at Erasmus University, Rotterdam. She has previously interned with UNESCAP in Bangkok in the Youth Empowerment Unit under the Social Development Division and has volunteered with Nacht van de Vluchteling and The Contained Project in the Netherlands.
