Sokleang Kim is the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the IOM-UNDP Global Programme on Making Migration Work for Sustainable Development (Phase III) and is based at IOM Geneva. Leang brings a wealth of experiences in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems and tools for human mobility and the humanitarian-development nexus, as well as social and economic development programmes that have been executed by IOM offices and other institutions in which he served over the past 20 years.

Previous experience

Leang first joined IOM at the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific as the Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in Bangkok in 2017, overseeing the functioning of the monitoring and evaluation within the region. Prior to joining IOM, he worked with international organizations and UN Agencies as monitoring and evaluation expert, such as UNOPS, World Bank Group, UNDP and UN Women in Cambodia for various development sectors, including local good governance, health, economic recovery and women’s and human rights. Leang holds a M.A. in Global Food and Agricultural Business in Australia.
