Calling all diaspora leaders: What training programs does your organization need?
This short survey aims to understand the skill and capacity development needs of diaspora organizations (DOs) so that they can improve upon the important work they do. Survey responses lead directly to the development of a tailored training program for DOs.
Introducing the Diaspora Organization Training Survey – your chance to shape the future of diaspora engagement! We're calling on diaspora organizations to lend your expertise and insights to create a dynamic training toolkit that will empower diaspora organizations on multiple fronts.
Diasporas have been recognized as contributors to the development and humanitarian response of their host and home countries in the 2030 Agenda and by Objective 19 of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM) which calls to “create conditions for migrants and diasporas to fully contribute to sustainable development in all countries”. Diaspora organizations play an important role when it comes to bringing together, advocating for, and implementing change for diaspora members and their communities.
IOM is planning to develop a diaspora training toolkit that will help diaspora organizations build their capacities across a variety of competencies. As a first step, we are surveying diaspora organizations to understand your needs and the major obstacles keeping you from achieving your goals.
🔗 Let's come together and build capacities that truly count! Your input to the survey will shape the toolkit's content, ensuring it addresses a diverse range of competencies.
🌐 Whether you're a diaspora champion, a community leader, or someone passionate about fostering growth, your perspective is invaluable.
💡 Join us in paving the way for stronger diaspora organizations worldwide. Be part of the change – your ideas, your impact. Let's connect the DOTS!
Take the survey now and make a lasting mark. The survey is available in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
