Global Migration Data Portal: Interactive Page on the Global Compact for Migration

Data are a very prominent part of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM). Objective 1 of the GCM begins with a commitment to “collect and utilize accurate and disaggregated data as a basis for evidence-based policies”. The GCM also highlights the importance of having good migration data to promote a “well-informed public discourse” and for “effective monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of commitments over time.”
