Migrant remittances are a lifeline for families, communities, and countries of origin. Last year, migrant workers sent $605 billion back home (World Bank, 2022), which supports families to pay for basic needs and develop their local communities. In times of crisis, migrants get the job done: in healthcare, in agriculture, and in education. Migrants are a motor of sustainable development.
