Nawel Aouissi-Padioleau
Nawel Aouissi-Padioleau supports IOM's Migration and Sustainable Development team as a knowledge exchange and capacity development consultant within the IOM-UNDP Global Program for Migration for Sustainable Development funded by SDC and led by IOM Headquarters. Nawel works on the program's activities related to knowledge exchange among the eleven countries and its efforts to build the capacity of its local and national government partners and other stakeholders to harness the development potential of migration.
Nawel holds a Master's degree in International Development and Humanitarian Affairs (Laval University - Canada) and a Master's degree in International Management (Normandy Business School - France). She has various professional experiences in United Nations agencies (Joint Migration and Development Initiative in Belgium and UNHCR in Ecuador) and NGOs (TECHO Para mi Pais in Paraguay and Saint Benoit Labre in France). Prior to joining IOM, Nawel worked as a project officer at Expertise France, the French public agency for the design and implementation of international technical cooperation projects, and for Wavestone as a senior consultant for public sector organizations. Her experience includes project management, knowledge exchange and capacity development. She is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
